Liquid Gas Europe is the voice of the liquid gas industry in Europe, representing companies and national associations involved in the production, distribution, and use of liquid gases, including LPG, bioLPG, and renewable DME. Our mission is to support the energy transition by advocating for the role of renewable liquid gases in a diverse, resilient, and climate-neutral energy system.

About the Role
We are looking for a Policy Officer or Senior Policy Officer (depending on experience) to join our Brussels-based team. The successful candidate will support our advocacy work across key policy areas including the Green Deal, Fit for 55, REPowerEU, the Renewable Energy Directive, EU ETS II, and energy taxation, among others.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse EU legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the liquid gas sector
- Draft policy briefs, position papers, consultation responses, and presentations
- Represent the association in stakeholder meetings, working groups, and relevant EU institutional events
- Support the coordination of internal working groups and task forces
- Contribute to outreach efforts with policymakers, industry partners, and NGOs
- Help prepare materials for speaking engagements, events, and advocacy campaigns
- Support broader team activities, including communications and event planning, as needed
Profile
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in EU public affairs, energy/climate policy, or related sectors
- Good understanding of EU institutions and policymaking processes
- Strong analytical and drafting skills
- Excellent spoken and written English (French or other EU languages are a plus)
- Proactive, well-organised, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Interest in the energy transition and a pragmatic approach to decarbonisation
