Liquid Gas Europe is looking for a new Autogas Manager!
Liquid Gas Europe is looking for an Autogas Manager, to be based in Brussels, whose role will also include similar responsibilities for the World LPG Association.
He/she will be in charge of a wide range of advocacy projects and activities, related to the use of LPG as a transport fuel. The right candidate must be a creative advocacy professional with a hands-on attitude, with a passion to engage both external and internal audiences, having an experience in the automotive sector and/or transport policy fields. He/she will also need to demonstrate an ability to grasp technical issues.
Main Duties/Tasks
- Monitor all legislative, regulatory, and market developments of relevance to the Autogas industry, e.g. EU and UNECE legislation on alternative fuels, emission and efficiency requirements, technical specifications on equipment and installations, etc.;
- Devise and execute overall advocacy/communications strategies, in direct cooperation with members, and act as representative of the industry in all relevant fields;
- Build relationships with key policy and business stakeholders;
- Coordinate and steer the work of internal working groups dedicated to Autogas;
- Take the lead in drafting documents aimed at internal/external communications on all questions relevant to Autogas;
- Supervise the work of a technical consultant in charge of standardisation and other technical dossiers;
- Assist members with enquiries related to policy, market development, technical, and other matters.
Profile and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience;
- Keen interest in policies relevant to transport and mobility. Prior experience in the automotive, transport fuel or related sector is expected;
- Excellent English writing and speaking skills and preferably at least one other European language;
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to manage projects;
- Result oriented and innovative mind set.
