Liquid Gas Europe Announces Updates to Its Board of Directors
Liquid Gas Europe is pleased to share an update on its Board of Directors, following recent changes in member company representation. We warmly thank Esther Busscher (SHV Energy) and Markus Dreier (UGI International) for their contribution and collaboration during their time on the Board — their support has been genuinely appreciated. As both companies adjust their representation within the association, LGE is equally pleased to welcome their newly nominated colleagues, who will continue this work and ensure a smooth transition.
Stepping in for UGI International, Alice Francou joins the Board and will serve as LGE President, succeeding Markus Dreier. Alice is Business Development & Strategic Marketing Director at UGI International, where, since 2022, she has been closely involved in advancing the company’s renewable energy strategy in France, including the development of renewable liquid gases. With more than a decade of international leadership experience in strategy, business development and the energy transition, she brings strong strategic and operational expertise to the association.
“I am pleased to join the Board at this important moment for our sector. I look forward to continuing the work of supporting a just, inclusive energy transition where renewable liquid gases can contribute meaningfully to Europe’s climate goals.” Alice Francou

Similarly, SHV Energy has nominated Silvia Estivill as Board Member and Treasurer, taking over from Esther Busscher. Silvia, Head of EU Affairs at SHV Energy, brings more than 15 years of experience in corporate affairs and EU policy across energy, aviation, and international business. Her background in advocacy and stakeholder engagement will support LGE’s ongoing work to strengthen the visibility of renewable liquid gases within Europe’s broader energy transition.
"I am committed to supporting Liquid Gas Europe's work with EU institutions and stakeholders. Ensuring access to reliable, cleaner energy is essential for millions of citizens and a priority for rural and off-grid communities." Silvia Estivill

LGE looks forward to continuing its work with the refreshed Board and thanks all members for their ongoing commitment. With Alice and Silvia joining, the association remains well placed to keep moving forward and to support a fair, inclusive and technology-neutral energy transition across Europe.
