On 30 October, Liquid Gas Europe co-signed a joint statement alongside 9 industry associations. The signatories welcome the European Commission’s initiative for a recast of the Energy Taxation Directive (ETD). To ensure a resilient energy supply for the EU and a just energy transition, taxation schemes have to provide consumers and businesses with the right incentives to accelerate the uptake of renewable and low-carbon fuels, including sustainable gaseous and liquid fuels.
